  • Double charging subscription

Had been a great app, used in conjunction with our paid subscription to the NYT. App now requires a separate subscription, so I have to pay once for the food section of the paper, then pay again to access the same recipes in this app.

I have been using the NYT Food website for two years now. I have heaps of wonderful cook books which I use constantly. However the Times Food site has become my ‘go to’ resource when I want a quick idea for dinner or to research an ingredient or recipe. The range of contributing chefs is awesome. I particularly love the comments section for individual recipes which add a whole different dimension of ideas and shortcuts. Everything works too - which isn’t always the case with recipes. I’m a fan!
  • Great way to keep all your recipes

You don't need all those cookbooks anymore - one app save from ither websites as well as the Times.

Excellent recipes by accomplished chefs. I have loved NYT cooking for years and this app doesn't disappoint. Love the access to recipes from bygone years. Could wish for fewer cookie recipes
  • Excellent and Educational

I often make recipes from here and each one has been two thumbs up!

Sifton's and Tannis' recipes alone make this my go-to cooking app. Integration with other recipes is a super huge tech bonus.
  • I love this !!

I have a fairly extensive collection of cookbooks gathering dust now because the NYT app is what I use most often! The only criticism I have is that the search engine requires spot-on spelling, which can be tricky on a smart phone (ex: “neatballs” results in zero hits and neatballs doesn’t auto-correct to meatballs either.) Small price to pay for such a wide range of recipes and so many helpful comments from readers.
  • Reduced functions

Reduced functions in this app have been detrimental to the enjoyment I have come to expect.

My favorite cooking application by far. I use it as a research tool and to save great recipes. Especially appreciated are the notes, which help to perfect these recipes
  • Too expensive

Five star app and recipes for a one star price. I really loved it and used it a lot but NYT needs to halve the price for me to consider a subscription. If this were the only cookbook in the world things would be different, but it's not.
