  • Too expensive

    The app is really convenient for keeping track of progress, but it’s too expensive. I really don’t want to pay for a subscription to use this app. I’d rather just pay one time for the app - there is an option for a one time payment, but it’s $100! That’s way too much for a student.
  • Rest timer not working

    I don’t use all of the features available for this app but I do use the rest timer. During most of the time I have used Strong, the rest timer has not been consistent. For certain exercises, the timer opens when I tap the check to indicate that I have finished a set. At other times the timer doesn’t open and I need to open the keyboard to start it. I am not sure if this is “user error “ or if it is caused by my creation of custom exercises. iPhone X iOS 11.2.6
  • Great App, not worth the money though

    Edit: I’ve heard they’ve gone to a monthly subscription model of $4.99 a month. That’s insane. This is a simple log-book and definitely not worth that kinda cost. If I wasn’t grandfathered into a PRO subscription with my one-time payment of under $10 from over 3 years ago, I would no longer use this app. ———— I've used this app to track my lifting for 2.5 years now. It's got every feature you could want, from a rest timer, lots of different progress graphs, to custom exercises, to csv data export so I can analyze my progress in depth on the computer. As I transitioned from a powerlifting style routine to Olympic Weightlifting training, the app easily adapted and kept all my data. It even converted it from lbs to kg, so I can see how my squat has continued to progress in comparison to my old PRs.
  • Upgraded to Pro, didn't get it

    I purchased the in-app upgrade to Pro. The upgrade was lost when I changed phones, is I repurchased. Not a huge ideal—except that upgrade didn't take either. Trying to get the upgrade to come back I ended up wiping months of workout data. I backed up beforehand luckily, but there's no way to re-import the information into the app. So now I'm out $ and months of trend data.

    I wish I could give it less than one star. Totally unethical company. I had already paid for the pro version and bought this app in the past assuming it was for lifetime but now they are asking for subscription?? It’s like going to a store buying a piece of cloth and they come come back to you after two years and ask for monthly fee for continue using the piece of cloth you bought two years back. F***** thieves ! I doubt these people even have a value system. Only thing they care about is money

  • Great app but Apple Watch app is super buggy

    Love the simple interface and easy way to track reps and sets. Your Apple Watch app is super buggy. When I try to use it over more than one day it starts freaking out in the second day. I usually have to force quit it to get it to start responding again. Today however I couldn’t even do that, and in the process my Apple Watch called 911.

    It seemed like a nice simple app but monthly subscription that simply unlocked basic features that are free in other apps is silly to put it mildly. $99 for a lifetime upgrade? Do you guys realize this is just a basic app that just a step better then a notepad? Thank you but no thank you. Deleted.
  • The best workout app available but awful support!

    Simple, yet fully-featured, Strong is easily the best workout app available on the App Store! Revised review: still my favorite app but the support is terrible. I’ve reached out at least 4 times and no response despite having used this app since its beta testing days!!!
  • GREAT! Could use a little more, though...

    Overall a great app, however, I still feel like there’s something missing... As a powerlifter, i feel it’s important to track the weight, reps, and sets that you do. However, I feel that this app would be that much better, if you were able to track RPE on your sets. Not 100% necessary, but it would make tracking that much more detailed.
