It would be helpful to have a button where you can tap to show explanations of the sounds that the letters make to be able to learn which letters make what sounds. I actually spend time awhile ago learning the letters and I see some here that I don’t remember learning, and others that I may have forgotten. Arabic spelling is extraordinarily difficult for non Arabic speakers to learn !

I’ve lived in Mexico too long to have not picked up more Spanish, but that is the sad truth. Never taking a different language in high school the whole process of learning and studying is a bit alien to me. Also given my age l have found this App and program very forgiving and it allows me to go back and repeat what l might have forgotten as many times as l need to. I strongly recommend this to anyone wanting to learn a new language.
  • Useful only for Europe

I like the app but since living in the USA I’d love to learn latin Spanish and use the app in American English. So I’ll never be ‘keen on’ that app for obvious reasons and that’s a bummer because I’d like to use it as a premium user.
  • Good app but some English grammar and lesson sequence mistakes

I am an English speaker, and I am using Busuu to learn Italian. I am enjoying the lessons and social aspects of the app. However, I noticed that Lesson 11 had some grammar mistakes, and some issues with lesson sequence. There are some mistakes and inconsistencies with the English translations. So for example, for the term “fare un pisolino” the English translation for the sample sentence is “At the weekend, we always have a nap”. The grammar is incorrect (it should be “on the weekend”). Same goes for the sample English sentence for “fare una passeggiata nel parco”. For “fare sport”, the sample English sentence, “We do sport on Saturday mornings” should be “We do sports...” or better yet, “We exercise...”. However, I’m not sure though if this means actually playing a sport or exercising, and it’s hard to tell with the example. In addition to this, I also found the Lesson 11 - Free time - Conversations writing exercise confusing: it asks us to use both regular and irregular verbs. I was confused because regular verbs are covered / defined in the next sub-lesson, so how would I have known what a regular verb was unless I had skipped ahead? Also, irregular verbs are not covered or defined at all as far as I could tell. So how am I supposed to know what to use? Also, I noticed that some English sentences that I’ve encountered in my lessons (and in correcting other people’s English sentences) use the word “fancy” (i.e. I fancy taking a walk tonight). I guess this app teaches United Kingdom English. This is not a common term to use in the USA, and would actually be confusing to hear stateside. I wonder if this is being communicated to students learning English? So overall, I am learning Italian slowly but steadily. I hope more goes into quality control of the lessons, because otherwise it feels inconsistent.
