  • Great idea-in theory.

REVIEW UPDATED 1/22/18–The app is better, though there’s a major flaw. We’ve been using savings catcher since its inception, and as such, have a MASSIVE number of receipts. There’s no archive option. So, the app takes increasingly longer times to open with each new one. At this point, between the time I tap “savings catcher” to when it opens is 1 min 34 seconds. Then, if I want to review a receipt, I’m forced to wait another 15-25 seconds for it to load. And if that’s the wrong one, and I have to go back to the listing, I have to wait for it to load *again*. An archive option, or even just archiving receipts that are over a year old would make so, so, so much sense. We have receipts from 2015 still in the app. Why?? There’s zero need to keep a receipt that long. ALSO- the whole business where you can use the app to let the pickup department know you’re there for the shipment is a literal joke. Unsure if it’s an app problem or an associate problem, but it’s pointless.

All I want is a receipt scanner to decrypt their encrypted receipt.
  • Baby Registry-pretty annoyed.

    By Alora T
So, I went to Walmart today hopeful to start my baby registry. We went to customer service because if you are unfamiliar with the way things go, I would assume this is the place to ask a question. My simple question was “How do I start my baby registry?” Now the part that has me and my husband pretty upset and or annoyed is the fact that she said we need to go online, sign up and then proceed to walk around Walmart scanning things with ONLY our phone and that was the ONLY way of having a registry with Walmart because Walmart got rid of the scanning devices. Really??? So, guess what we did next?? We signed up on your horrible app, put in our information to be registered on BOTH of our phones (we were hoping to use only one phone) and your app continuously said “Maintenance issue, try again later.” REALLY? So Walmart, my question to you, is how do you expect people to come to your store excited to SPEND MONEY but you limit people on how to do it? What about people who do not have free data? Or people who do not have a cell phone? Not everyone in the world has a fat stack of cash to sit on for luxury items such as cell phones or free data. Some people would like to come to your store to shop for their soon to be born baby without the stress of not being able to because the AFFORDABLE store doesn’t allow to certain people. So, what are these people to do? I guess take their money elsewhere which is what I have had to do-not that you care. I understand it’s 2018 but even Target (THANK YOU, TARGET) makes it user friendly for online access and in store access to where you have a choice of using either. Oh! And they give you a congratulations goodie bag on having a baby! How about that!! Very disappointed in Walmart and was hoping to use both stores to shop at for the arrival of our son. I hope you take this into consideration and fix your app and think about the accessibility you are giving your customers. -Thank you
  • Trash app waste of time

They lead you to the store by telling you the product is in stock. So you waste your time driving to the store. Good luck finding an employee to help.

I like this app, but I had $48.72 saved up in the savings catcher and the day I went to use the money it was not in the savings catcher anymore. It showed up on the lifetime accumulated total, but I do not understand what happened to it because I did not spend it. Do you lose your money in savings catcher after a certain period of time? I emailed support just to ask what had happened, but I never received a return email. I may give the app 5 stars later, but as of right now I am just giving 3 stars. Hopefully someone with support will read this and let me know something as to what happened.
  • Works nicely and still supports older devices

Still supports iOS 9 - you get 10 stars for that!

This app is the worst!!! I ordered an item from this app a few weeks ago. My shipping date was between January 15-18 and IT IS ALREADY THE 21st!!!! Did I have any way of knowing this via the app??? NO!!! I had to go to the Walmart website to discover that this product I ordered is coming from CHINA so that’s why it’s taking so long. Seriously. Save yourselves the hassle and just use the website, it gives you more information than this crap, award-winning-my-butt, app. I am beyond done with this thing. It wouldn’t be so bad if Walmart was like amazon (a middle man), but no. Walmart is getting the money and that’s what makes this so crappy. I’m switching to Target. Byeee!!!! 👎✌️
  • App Getting Worse

    By AEbabe007
I used to love this app. I mostly used it for the savings catcher, but occasionally would search for items to order online or for birthday party decoration planning. Now I usually can't search for items without an error which causes me to just go to the website. And for the past few updates, I've noticed that the app is not connecting to the internet. It doesn't matter if I'm on my wifi or using my phone's provider network, it doesn't work. The only way I can use the app is if I am at a Walmart, on their wifi. So if I forget to add my receipt to the savings catcher as soon as I check out, then I will not be able to add it. Usually by the time I'm back at the store is one week later and because you can't add the receipt 7 days later, you lose out. Anyone else having this problem? Last week, I forgot to charge my phone before I left the house and my phone died while I was adding my receipt, so I'm sure it didn't go through. I'm getting extremely frustrated!
  • Slow and Clunky

    By Solon-x
The mobile development team needs to spend some time on the user experience. The app is a bit slow and clunky in places. An example is the savings catcher service. Clicks to enter and navigate this functioning are extremely slow making the user think the click did not register, so they click again and again. Suddenly, the app comes back to life and responds to all of the clicks. It’s just not crisp and efficient. It feels cheap.
