  • Much needed Markdown support

    By TarekHoteit
Please allow at the very least opening markdown (md extension) files just like text files.
  • Bulk downloads not an option...

    By ElPigeon3000
Useful upload feature, but it is extremely frustrating to try to restore files to your device. To do so, you must select each file individually and save it to your phone. Hope you didn’t consider using Dropbox for backing up your photos...
  • Lost a great deal of data

    By tlytlytly
I used dropbox daily and loved it. I had previously rated it 5 star. I st ored very important files there which i needed to share. One day a great number of my files were just gone. I had to have those files within 2 weeks. The rollback system they provide to customers is antiquated. Contacting support was a nightmare. They finally got back with me in about a month. Their overall message to me was that i needed to pay for their service to secure my data. They did make an effort to restore, however i didnt get all my files back and those i did were too late to do any good. I read online many complaints of the same nature. Lesson learned, backup every time a file is changed. This incident aside, it has many wonderful features and has otherwise worked well.
  • Not impressed

    By Shawn the tramp
Just gonna keep it simple, used this as a media sharing app, but want able to download any video to my iPhone. So it was useless for video but pics worked. I did what I needed and promptly deleted the app after. Lame.
  • They Don't Care About The User Esperience

    By MeMyselfhghu
For hosting files, Dropbox is great. But they clearly don't care about the user once they've got the files. This app is beyond terrible. I don't leave reviews. Seriously. Never. But after dealing with this app for years, and just seeing a blatant disrespect for the user, I was pushed to leave one. It would be okay if it was just stripped down UI - but there's basic stuff, like suggesting last viewed folders (which is almost always wrong), that's just flawed. PS - why change the iOS app icon if there are no changes to the experience of the app? Gimmicky AF. A strategy comparable to a used car salesman's.
  • some options off

    By A7davidz
the offline option, it use to be it easier to click each one to offline mode by one click then a second click to offline side, but now it 2 clicks to make a offline, then another 2 clicks to get to offline mode. That wasting 2x effort = supposed you need 30 minute to make all files offline, now it 2x = 1 hr. Now there even a plus that replace all, but why make it to pay to use.
  • no longer shows numbers sheets in tabbed form

    By Nicky rivers
I’ve used Dropbox for many years and have always been satisfied. With this update, its almost worthless to me. Spreadsheets now take forever to load and show a tiny toilet paper style list instead of titled tabs. The individual pages have even lost the tab title. I keep a monthly budget in a numbers spreadsheet and most pages differ only in the actual numbers and the tab title. This toilet paper roll view is a huge step backwards. Shame on you, Dropbox
  • What??

    By CutTheRopeRocksStill
Trying to log in with my Dropbox email/password credentials, as I have for years, and app now pops up a window: “Misconfigured App. Your company’s Dropbox isn’t set up properly. Ask your admin to check the settings. Thanks.” Thanks indeed. Deleted. Dropbox is fantastic. This mobile app is seriously trashed.
  • Going downhill fast!!!

    By Easy St.
The old Dropbox was great. Everything synced nicely on my Windows 7 PC, my iMac OS 10.6.8, my iPhone 7. Then Dropbox decided to “upgrade” which cut off desktop syncing for the iMac because it would not upgrade beyond OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). The only solution is to go out and pay another $2k for a new iMac. But how to get all the files up to date since 1/16/18 (the cut off date)? “Chat” appeals have been useless. There is no direct support where one can actually TALK to someone, unless one “upgrades” to business/premium which I shouldn’t have to do. I don’t think my data is “safe” anymore and there really is no support unless you consider trying to solve a conversion problem with canned text messages “helpful”. POTENTIAL USERS BEWARE!!!! Dropbox has changed! At some point you will loose your ability to tie in your devices to your files unless you plan on buying a new computer every other year or so. Can’t express how disappointing this is. Users probably should back up all their Dropbox files somewhere else before Dropbox pulls the plug and determines that your current device/computer is too old. The fact that there is no one to TALK with is troubling. Summary: initial concept and execution was great. Subsequent execution and decision to cut off older operating systems has been a nightmare. AVOID !!
  • Wish I could shut off phone while using

    By Mdwraith
I use Dropbox all the time for uploading photos for work and pretty much love it. I’m not sure if it’s possible but it would so much more convenient if you could shut of your phone and it continue to upload. I have to sent my phone to never shut off while I’m uploading and now with the iPhone X burn in is an issue. Could you please figure something out?
