Description

Type anything in augmented reality, then take photos or videos and share with your friends! Wether you are a professional film maker or simply looking to add some wow to your social posts, this app is for you! The app is adding realistic shadows so your text looks like it's really there! Once the app starts, aim your screen in the direction of the main light source to get perfect shadows. Change the size of the text ( up to 4m tall!) and the distance you want it to appear from your iPhone. Simple! Try it today, it's kind of magical! HOW TO GET REALISTIC SHADOWS: You will see that the app starts by asking you to make your screen face the main light, that's because we are adding a virtual Light to the 3d Scene. It's invisible but casts some light on the 3D objects, who in their turn cast shadows on the surfaces found by ARkit. The app is always looking for flat surfaces and will update them as you move around. Aim at the surface that you want the app to 'scan' and move around it, always aiming at the same point. Once again they're invisible, but they do show the shadows of the text! The trick is to give the app as much information about the surroundings as possible, it only has one eye to make it see as much as possible ;) Have fun! #wordup

I can’t find a way to type ANYTHING. Who the F**k wants “#wordup” on the screen??!! I guess it isn’t finished yet. Don’t waste your time on this...

Honestly this would blow up if there was a server keeping track of words people dropped, kinda like geocaching. As it is, seems very very limited in use except for very niche purposes

For the most part the app was working excellently. The issue is that I am unable to switch from photo mode to video mode. I have an iPhone SE, so maybe the issue is that I need force touch to activate video mode. Could you please tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!
  • Buggy as hell.

Turning video on turns off all controls, forcing a restart. Controls are insanely non-intuitive.
