App keeps getting better. Love the content. Do yourself a favor and sign up if they’re in your city.
  • Quite Amazing

Sports coverage can often veer too far to the “homer” viewpoint, or get thrown into the echo chamber on one of the coasts. This format really busts that up. When my favorite writer left my local paper I followed him here, and Russo has never really done me wrong yet. Great non traditional writing, extremely quick with content, integration of the readers comments, slick interface to use, very fair price are just some of my observations. Most important though, they can cover hockey well. Thank you for that. Good job! Tim Wurtz

  • Coming along

Great writing and well conceived app. Still limited on writers; in my region only a baseball writer is on board. As this gets better this has great potential.
  • Refreshing

This is my new #1 go to app for sports journalism. The local talent they have hired to cover the DFW market is second to none. Well worth the subscription!

  • Don’t Hesitate

I couldn’t recommend an app any more highly than The Athletic. It’s truly in its own category in terms of sports news apps. The writers are top notch, the comment sections are constructive, positive, and sensical. The articles are formatted beautifully and the entire format is extremely user friendly. I will never use bleacher report again and The Athletic is 100% worth the subscription fee.
  • Worth the money

If you want good content, you have to pay for it. And this is worth paying for if you are a sports fan.
  • Hire More People of Color

This website needs inclusion of black and brown writers, especially women of color. It’s clearly lacking as a result. There’s also virtually no national NBA coverage, which is a huge disappointment. Step it up.
