  • Was great; now not so much

I installed this app several months ago and paid for a year’s subscription. The first 2-3 months I was thrilled. The app blocked nearly every single spam call. But I’m afraid the spammers are winning cause I am back to getting daily spam calls. I report them and keep the app open to no avail. The new spam calls seem to originate outside the US as they come in with +1 in front. I hold out hope that they’ll figure it out...
  • Simply doesn’t work

    By GaCzerni
I have been paying for this app monthly for almost and I don’t remember it actually blocking a single robot call. It is good at identifying them after the fact, but I need something that stops the calls from interrupting me at all. Every time a robo call comes, the app hangs until I force-quit and restart it - THEN it indicates it was a robo call! For $2 per month I expect more than the same email 6 months apart from apparently the only technical support person (Rita Thompson) saying “force-quit, uninstall, reinstall” - that’s it, no “developer follow-up” as indicated, no nothing. So for $2 per month I get nothing- done. If I could give this app zero stars I would. The real shame is that I have been using the awesome VOIP version of this service for years, and expected the same from the mobile version.
  • Red dot for Robocaller no longer shows up?

    By PrintHead1436
Overall, this is a great app. Stops maybe 98% of the robocalls I receive, very glad I got it. The one thing I’m disappointed with is that it’s lost what used to be a useful feature. Formerly, robocalls sent straight to voicemail by the app were marked with a red dot in my iPhone’s list of voicemails received. Recently that stopped being true— so now when I look at the voicemail list, there’s no way to tell the difference between a robocaller msg & a regular voicemail. In the voicemails list, if I press the “i” in a circle to the right of a number (for information on that particular caller), then on the info page I see the red dot & the number is labeled “Nomorobo: Robocaller”. But the red dot no longer appears in the overall call list. Can you please restore this feature, back to the way it was before?
  • Battery eater

I’ve had it installed 1 day. Too bad in that time I haven’t been able to see it perform on any spam calls or texts. It has quickly risen in the battery consumption list to show as one of the highest consumers. Maybe if the background settings could include not needing such frequent database updates it would relax? I won’t know, I’m just going to remove it for now. I doubt it will be fixed within 13 days when I’ll start being billed.
  • Doesn’t work

Can’t even get the app to install properly (app isn’t listed in Phone settings). I’m on the latest version of everything. Sent an email to support days ago, with no response at all. Needed to say, I won’t be continuing past the trial
  • Unimpressive

The majority of robocalls still ring through. I’ve only noticed a slight reduction in the number of robocalls I get compared to before.
  • So far so good!

I have been using this app for about three months now and I have yet for a robocall to get through. I was getting dozens of calls a month before I started using it. Seems that whoever had this number before me wasn’t picky about who they gave their number to. I have also stopped getting nuisance SMS text messages for this person as well as Nomorobo blocks these too. I just wish that the price was lower. Privacy Star seems to do the same thing but for.99 cents per month, but I don’t think it blocks text messages that I don’t want so I will stick with this app.
  • Does not provide enough protection to be worthwhile.

    By Zebranutz
It just doesn’t catch enough calls to be worth the cost. The feature to send them directly to voicemail never worked. The call just rings without going to voicemail at all.
  • Don’t expect anything from Nomorobo.

I gave this app 4 months to stop spammers from calling me from 5am to 6pm. I reported each and every number to nomorobo. I paid the subscription fee. But guess what? The app never has worked. Ever. And to be quite honest I receive more spam calls than even before I had this app. I update it sometimes twice a day and still nothing. The spammers have clearly figured out a way to get around the “technology” that nomorobo thought it had. Nomorobo deserves to be shutdown unless it can actually complete the task it advertises it can do. Would you accept it if your automobile worked 60% of the time? Or how about your internet? Or maybe your heating or cooling system in your home? I doubt anyone would answer yes to that. So why does Nomorobo get to exist and charge you money for something that simply doesn’t work?
  • Greatly reduces spam calls

    By KaceyBrat
It doesn’t catch all of these nuisance calls , but it gets most of them. These callers change phone numbers constantly - you get one they didn’t block, submit the number. If you have a landline it’s free and works even better than on mobile. Spam calls ring once and disappear. I’d love to see support for Google voice numbers, but overall I like this app.
