Why spend hundreds of dollars on an extra device while your phone can do the same and more? Find, Create, Import and Navigate great Roads and track your Touring Adventures. Although Scenic is designed for the motorcycle it's used by many old-timer and convertible drivers as well. It's basically for anyone with a motorised vehicle who enjoys a day (or longer) of touring. ROUTE PLANNING Scenic offers many many options to plan your tours: (1) Select a location and be navigate there along curvy roads. (2) Create a route yourself by dropping up to 200 via points with fast, short or curvy roads to get from one point to the next. (3) Import routes through many ways and many sources. For example: Scenic integrates with the Furkot, RouteYou and online routeplanners and the Scenic WebApp makes it easy to import GPS files (GPX, KML, KMZ, GDB, ITN) and Google (My) Maps URLs. Simply drag and drop GPS files and copy/paste Google Maps URL's in the WebApp and the route will be waiting for you in Scenic on your phone. (4) As the only app of it's kind Scenic can make nearly every imported route navigable, even if it has thousands of points. (5) If you don't feel like creating or importing your own routes, you can choose from the many thousands of routes shared, rated and reviewed by fellow Scenic users. NAVIGATION Of course Scenic wouldn't be a good alternative to Motorcycle GPS units if it didn't offer navigation. The navigation screen has been especially designed for use on the motorcycle, with large fonts, a clear route line and a screen layout that enables you to see next turns in a quick glance. And of course Scenic also gives voice instructions (in 21 languages). Next to that Scenic has special features to guide you to the start point of a route and skip via points if you take a (deliberate or accidental) detour. TRACKING Scenic's tracking feature allows you to save your touring adventures for ever. With every ride you take, wether you're navigating a route or not, your ride is tracked. Scenic records your speed, the roads you took and the pictures taken along the way. Every trip you ever took can be shared on social media, exported to GPX files and even turned into a navigable route so you can ride it again. * Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. * Scenic has an optional Premium Subscription that gives you access to Premium Features (Voice Guidance, Route Import & Route & Trip export). The subscription automatically renews every year. The first payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of the purchase. It automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged again within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by you and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings in the iTunes Store, also reachable through 'Manage Subscriptions' from the Scenic Settings menu.Current price for premium subscription is $10.99 USD per year, and may vary from country to country. • Best Motorcycle App

Have used this app for almost a year. It is great for what I wanted: turn by turn verbal instructions; ability to import gpx files of planned tours; route sharing. My only negative was that I wanted to keep my phone in my pocket and just listen to the turn by turn instructions on the helmet Sena. However, for some reason it would turn off if the screen is not on after a while. Now I have a Ram mount for the phone and the app works perfectly. I have used several disappointing apps but this one does the things I want.
  • A fantastic, feature loaded GPS

I've only used Scenic a couple times so far and it already exceeds the features and capabilities of my previous go to GPS apps (which cost more!). Guido is also very responsive as a developer. I love that I can easily, VERY easily, import my trips from Furkot, which I was using a while before discovering Scenic. The combination of the two make the ultimate travel planner and Guide. About the only thing I can think of that is missing from Scenic would be a crash detector that would launch a text message to user defined contacts. Great app, responsive developer, and even great how to videos at Doesn't get much better!
  • Wow

It was so easy to plan a trip! Great software. I took one star from my review because it is not optimized for iPhone x and feels small and hard to use on my phone.
  • Worth it!!

Easy to use and best of all the support you get from Guido is unreal. Well worth the lifetime purchase for my motorcycle riding!!!
  • Disregards waypoints

    By NotRight
Downloaded the Texas map and drew a simple route with waypoints before and after each turn. No ambiguity. Zoomed out on my iPad and the route was totally different than what I had plotted. Major Fail. Deleted app ASAP
  • Best phone gps app for motorcycles

    By kaelaria
Overall this is the best gps app for motorcycles on the market. You can import virtually any route including those you make on google. It’s not perfect though. If you rely on voice only prompts its slightly lacking in details like which direction of an interchange to take or how far to proceed after a turn to the next one. POI lookup is sparse at best so you still need google to do simple things like find food or gas nearby. I have run in to the occasional road where it thinks it’s blocked and will not allow it to be routed. It is excellent however at holding preplanned routes and group rides.
  • Interesting app.

Takes a bit to get used to the controls. Still not entirely intuitive; takes a lot of exploratory tapping to find out what does what. “Curvy” routing options seem to make needless circles on routes. Does the job. I like it.

  • Best motorcycle navigation that I’ve found

    By aTahmission
I’ve looked at a lot of different options for navigation while motorcycling, and while there are a number of apps / devices that do some things well, Scenic is the only one that puts a check in the box next to all of my must-haves: - has to have downloadable maps: Scenic gives you a set amount of credits for downloading maps of desired states, with the ability to purchase more. I live in New England, so I ride a lot of different states, but the allotted amount of credits has been enough to cover all the states I ride in (7 so far). There’s no pulling you in with 1 state and then dinging you for the rest. Also, when maps need updating, that doesn’t go against your credits. Scenic doesn’t have those hidden costs so prevalent today. - has to accept custom maps from other sites: I use Kurviger to really detail my maps, and I love the fact that I can import this directly and simply. Scenic supports a number of formats from a number of different providers. - has to have good, clean interface when riding. The interface is very simple and clean. It’s easy to glance down under way and not get distracted. All in all a lot of great features and good value for the money. The only alternative I can see is a $700 Zumo, which, while nice, is hard to justify when Scenic exists.
